That is, commercial voiceover for ads for radio, TV, or online, called ‘paid media’.
In the Commercial Voiceover sessions you’ll be sent broadcast quality commercial scripts and other material before the session to familiarise yourself with.
Success in commercial voiceover is all about how you approach the script.
I’ll help you understand and recognise the different script styles and show you some of the easy short-cuts, methods and techniques to help you make great choices and create memorable reads that deliver the advertising message.
Scripts are short, often 15 or 30 seconds, occasionally longer, 45 or 60 seconds, and increasing shorter, 6 or 10 seconds, mostly for online delivery.
This 2.5 hour intensive course on Commercial voiceover will teach you how to look at a range of commercial voiceover scripts and script styles and make decisions about your performance based on a series of considerations.
I’ll give you the techniques and skills to be able to understand what any script is asking of you.
