Discover Voiceover Technique – Online Course

Find out if voice over is for you!!!  This livestream course,  offered as 3 consecutive Monday night sessions, 7-9 AEST, with course scheduled throughout the year, this course will give you the lowdown on how the voiceover industry works.  I’l teach you the techniques for converting written word into great spoken word across Commercial and Non-Commercial,  Character voicing for Animation and Games, and Audiobook Narration. 

But more importantly, you’ll spend 80% of the time working with broadcast quality scripts covering the different types and styles.  You’ll learn the skills and techniques the pros use.  And discover what kind of work and what script styles suit your unique voice.

One-on-one ZOOM Sessions

In these sessions, I’ll tailor the session to whatever you need to discover or learn in any area of voiceover and audiobook narration.

Audio Book Narration short course via Zoom

In the past few years, with Audible setting up in Australia and Aussies now able to narrate Australian titles, and publishers choosing to release more audio books,  the industry has grown and is growing stronger. If you love the idea of audio book narration, are an experienced sight reader with a love of words and language, but feel you need to know more about how it all works, then I’d love to work with you.

In this course, you’ll refine your skills and build new ones, working with material that suits your unique voice style or styles. Using both fiction and non-fiction you’ll learn how to adjust your reading style to the work.  We’ll explore articulation, character dynamics and the art of storytelling. I’ll guide you through the technical process and give you tools to create seamless performances.

Studio Practice – Melbourne only

If you’ve done my Discover Voiceover Technique course, and are bursting to get in front of the mic and get a feel for the studio, or you want to perfect your technique and learn more about how to collaborate in the studio and create great reads, this is just what you’re looking for. We’ll tailor each session to whatever you need to work on most, whether it’s mainstream radio and TV ads, retail, character voices for animation corporate narration. Don’t worry if you don’t know.  I’ll find scripts that will suit you for the sessions. This 3 consecutive weeknights – over three weeks – evening studio practice course will help give you an edge and teach you more about the skills, the process and what’s possible in the studio.
